This robustly constructed vessel is purpose-designed to undertake offshore patrols and surveillance in Brunei's territorial waters. The ship features a large flight deck and aviation facilities consistent with the landing and refuelling of a Sikorsky Sky Hawk or similar helicopter. Excellent seakeeping capability is ensured by long fine lines and generous freeboard, using V-sections forward and a slight flare of the main hull body at all sections. The arrangement of bilge keels and stabilisers further enhances the vessel's sea-keeping performance.
