NIMROD MR2
The Nimrod MR2 is operated by 4 RAF squadrons, and has its origins in the De Havilland Comet, the world's first jet airliner, which first flew on 27th July 1949.
The Mk2 aircraft is based on the Nimrod Mk1 aircraft which entered service in 1969. In the 1980's the aircraft underwent an upgrade and while the flight deck and general systems remained the same (apart from the later addition of Air-to-Air Refuelling probe as a result of Operation CORPORATE, the 1982 Falklands War) the Mission System was given a significant upgrade. altitude.
AM&PS have produced the amendments to the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Air Crew Manual (ACM) and Ground Handling Guide (GHG) for the Successor Identification Friend or Foe (SIFF), to the AVP70 specification.
